Biography

Dr. Rodolfo Castillo Araiza is an assistant professor of geological engineering renowned for his contributions to the fields of geomaterials and concrete technology. Holding a doctorate in earth sciences, he dedicates his research to the development of durable and high-performance geomaterials for construction, as well as to optimizing the use of marginal granular resources in infrastructure. His work focuses on characterization testing of geomaterials for construction, the durability of concrete related to aggregates, and the valorization of these materials from a sustainable development perspective. Through his research, he contributes to advancing knowledge and improving innovative laboratory practices for determining the reactivity of aggregates containing iron sulfides.
